MCI partners with Expedia to expand event accommodation options
Today at IBTM World, global meetings and events agency MCI announced an exciting collaboration with Expedia® Affiliate Network (EAN), a division of Expedia Inc., one of the world’s leading online travel companies with an extensive portfolio that includes some of the world’s most trusted online travel brands.
EAN will provide additional accommodation options for people wanting to attend MCI-organised congresses in locations with a lack of availability or high levels of market compression during peak times.
“EAN’s innovative service will be seamlessly integrated into MCI’s registration and housing technology, allowing for a frictionless single booking and payment process for over 350,000 conference delegates annually,” specified Richard Torriani, MCI Group Global Vice President Congress Management.
“We are not replacing our valued relationships with partner hotels and contracted room blocks - we are complementing them,” said Sebastien Tondeur, CEO MCI Group. “Our partnership with Expedia Affiliate Network adds a whole new layer of possibilities for clients who would like to grow attendance at their events and congresses, but who are currently limited by a lack of traditional accommodation for attendees.”
