Just in time for summer, Filippa K has come together with the Stockholm-based unisex sunglass brand Monokel Eyewear to create a limited-edition range of sunglasses, handcrafted from biodegradable acetate. The collaboration is inspired by a shared passion for timeless design and enduring quality, and a commitment to reducing the environmental footprint through innovation within the framework of circular fashion. The three unisex styles, Cleo, Barstow, and Robotnik, are universally flattering in customised ombré shades of earth tones – brown, green and blue. The biodegradable frames are made with a plant-based eco acetate from long-standing Italian manufacturer Mazzucchelli, and are thoughtfully made to be individually adjusted for a perfect fit. Each pair has also been fitted with 100% UV-protected Carl Zeiss lenses.

The range launches online worldwide at filippa-k.com, monokel-eyewear.com, and in eight select international Filippa K stores on April 17th.

The main material in our frames is a premium plant based acetate, and all black frames are made with recycled acetate. The lenses are made by Carl Zeiss Vision®.
