Exciting things are happening in the world of Swedish fotboll and Bluechip Study USA could not be more excited to be involved. The staff at Bluechip is thrilled to welcome Prior Lake Soccer Club's U-15 (F98) Girls to Hönö-Öckerö for a pre-Gothia Cup training camp.
In preparation for Gothia Cup, the world's largest and most prestigious youth soccer tournament, Bluechip has done everything from arranging lodging, meals and practice times for the Minnesotan team on Öckerö IF's state of the art turf field and scheduling two training matches against teams from the Göteborg area. The practice sessions and training matches should serve the team well dusting off some jet lag and allowing the players to enter the tournament in top form.
The team could not have picked a better or more exciting year to be a part of this magnificent event as the excitement revolving around the women's game in Sweden is at an all time high with the country playing host to the 2013 European Women's Championship. Many of the girls and their families will take advantage of this great opportuntity to watch some of the world's best on one of the biggest stages of international women's fotboll!
Of course, the girls and their families are also taking advantage of Sweden's beautiful summer, spending mornings and evenings shopping around the quaint streets of Hönö-Klåva or heading into Göteborg to explore one of Sweden's most iconic and beautiful cities. When it comes to relaxing and prepping those tired legs for the cup the girls are taking to the seaside for boat rides, sun tans and atlantic ocean swims. They are also gaining a cultural lesson or two exploring the region's famous lighthouses, remote islands, and learning the health benefits of a Fika.
Good Luck Prior Lake! We wish you the best when it comes to facing those Swedish Vikings!
