Colombian Vice President travels to Switzerland and Norway to exchange experiences on Human Rights

The main objective of this visit is to design a support forum to help countries reduce the numbers of armed violence. On 1 and 2 November, the Colombian Vice President will meet with representatives of the International Labour Organization (ILO), the Office of the High Commissioner for Human Rights and UN Permanent Representatives to the UN and ILO in various countries.

The next day travel to Oslo, where he will stay three days to meet with representatives of the Government of that country, trade unions and NGOs to strengthen relations between the two countries, promote the ratification of the FTA with Norway and exchange experiences in trade union matters, and the Human Rights Act redress for victims. Among the scheduled meetings are scheduled hearings: Kristian Tangen, Secretary of the Norwegian Confederation of Trade Unions, Raymond Johansen, Secretary General of the Labour Party, Espen Barth Eide, State Secretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Marit Nybaak, Third Vice-President of Parliament , Trond Giske, Minister of Trade and Industry and Bente Angell-Hansen, Secretary General of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

During his visit to the Nordic country, the Vice President will also attend the Conference Red Colombia and Colombia, which will be attended by Representatives of the Forum on Women and Development, the Norwegian Refugee Council, Caritas Organization and the Norwegian Forum for Human Rights.
