Updated May-13-2004

The rules, i.e. Public Policy Rules - PPR are now complete. As we wrote earlier, only citicens within EU will be able to register domain names under .eu.

No date is set for starting the Sunrise period. During this period only they with prior rights (as defined in the PPR) to a name will be able to apply for a .eu-domain name. The Sunrise-period will start at the earliest in october 2004 but this might be delayed until december. The Sunrise-period will last for 4 months.

After Sunrise, sometime in the beginning of 2005 (April), you will be able to register .eu-domains live. This must be done with an accredited registrar which NameISP at this time will be. You can now make applications of interest för .eu-domains which will be placed in queue at NameISP.

The complete rules (PPR) you can find in this PDF-file.
