Welcome to a seminar where Nordic experts and politicians discuss market trends and current challenges in climate-friendly investment projects and what needs to be done to ensure that green bonds are a safe investment in the environment.
The explosive growth of green bonds in the capital markets is increasingly attracting attention from investors. The bonds are seen as an important factor in accelerating the investments that benefit the environment and reduce global warming. Nordic institutions and climate experts have been the driving force behind the development and interest is growing throughout Europe. To ensure that the positive developments will not turn into disappointment, it is crucial to assure investors that the green bonds really are used to fund projects that benefit the environment.
Christopher Flensborg, one of the original architects of the green bonds and Head of Sustainable Products and Product Development at SEB and Lars Eibeholm, Head of Treasury at the Nordic Investment Bank are some of the invited speakers.
The seminar is a collaboration between the Nordic Council of Ministers' information office in Stockholm, and Global Utmaning, (Global Challenge) an independent Swedish think tank.
