New CEO at the designcompany Offecct AB
On January 1, 2019, Offecct AB will have a new Chief Executive Officer at its headquarters and production site in Tibro, Sweden. While recruitment is under way, Trygve Aasland will be the Acting CEO.
In 2017 Offecct was acquired by Flokk AS of Norway, the intention being to create even faster growth and a strong position on the global furnishing arena. Kurt Tingdal, founder of Offecct AB, started the company in 1990 alongside Head Designer Anders Englund. Mr. Tingdal has now decided to step down in the new year and hand the reins to a new CEO who can continue to develop the business and production in the right direction. Mr. Tingdal will remain with Offecct in the role of Senior Business Development Manager, with a focus on developing Offecct’s and Flokk’s project sales in Scandinavia.
- -“After 28 successful, educational and very pleasant years, I now believe it is time to make way for the next generation of decision-makers, so that they can develop Offecct with all its potential as the company moves into the future. My years with the company have been an amazing journey, and I can see tremendous opportunities for further development in growing alongside our strong new owners. I will remain with Offecct part-time and focus on what I enjoy most, which is developing business,” says Mr. Tingdal.
Trygve Aasland, SVP Commercial Development at Flokk’s Soft Seating division, will initially step in as Acting CEO. He will be based at the Tibro headquarters for a transitional period while recruitment of a new full-time CEO is under way. Mr. Aasland has a solid background in the industry and extensive experience of similar duties.

Kurt Tingdal will remain in place as CEO of Offecct AB until December 31, 2018.
