Polar and LOOK launch two power accessories for cycling enthusiasts

Polar, the leading manufacturer of heart rate monitors and advanced training devices, and LOOK Cycle a worldwide leader in carbon fiber and pedal technology,  today rolled out their latest
products in the bike accessory line-up. With Kéo Power Bluetooth® Smart, cyclists get accurate information about the intensity of their workouts, how much power they produce and how it affects their ride.
When Polar and LOOK first combined their forces, they introduced a completely new way to measure cycling power output with clipless pedals. The two companies have continued to develop the system even further so that now it is even easier to use than before and cyclists can truly focus on sharpening their cycling technique and performance.

Kéo Power Bluetooth® Smart and Kéo Power Essential Bluetooth® Smart
The premium product is the new Kéo Power Bluetooth® Smart, which includes two LOOK Kéo Power pedals with two entirely renewed Polar Bluetooth® Smart transmitters. It measures power output, left and right balance as well as cycling cadence and efficiency. It also features the force vector, which guides users to improve their cycling technique by showing how they use force against the pedal.

Kéo Power Essential Bluetooth® Smart is a cost-effective choice for reliable power analysis without the left and right balance measurement. The set includes two pedals and one transmitter. It is ideal for any cyclist who wants to see their total power output without needing the additional analysis of how this varies between their right and left legs. 

The functional design of both sets meets the requirements of demanding users: the slim metal casing of the transmitters fits almost any frame or group set, while the unlimited crank lengths make the system easy to set up and switch between bikes. It weighs only 200 g more than the Kéo Blade 2 in Titanium version. 

Polar Flow web service for planning and follow up
Transferring data to a compatible Polar training device and from there to the free Polar Flow web service is easy and helps cyclists plan and analyze their rides. When comparing power to heart
rate, it reveals what kind of an impact different factors like state of mind or changes in the environment have on the user, and how their body responds to workout overall. The two Kéo Power Bluetooth® Smart products work best with Polar V650, the state-of-the art bike computer for ambitious cyclists, and Polar V800, Polar's most advanced training device with integrated GPS. They are compatible also with any product that uses Bluetooth® Smart technology and which can detect power output when riding.

A user-friendly system offering advanced power technology 
- Continuing our cooperation with LOOK on the next edition of Kéo Power pedals has been extremely fruitful. The updated versions are based on Bluetooth Smart and as such open up endless possibilities for smartphone users, says Matti Rautiainen, Segment Manager of Accessories at Polar. One of our main goals for the new products has been to ensure that they are as user-friendly as possible: when heading off for a ride, the cyclist doesn't need to do anything to wake up the system as it calibrates itself automatically. Availability and pricing
Both sets will be available in selected countries starting from October 2014. The suggested retail price for Kéo Power Bluetooth® Smart will be €1699,90 and €999,90 for Kéo Power Essential Bluetooth® Smart.
