“7th day,” the debut track by drum & bass crew Delta Star, has blown away the followers of BBC Asian Network and been loved to pieces by Nihal in his show on Radio 1, over and over again. On the 7th day EP, Delta Star joins forces with Osmani Soundz, Nuphlo and Apurva; grandmasters of Eastern influenced Bass music. Striking a perfect balance between the subtle and the sublime the 7th day EP innovates drum & bass and dubstep. Dexterously executed, this EP is as world class as it gets in contemporary Bass music.

Osmani Soundz, Nuphlo and Delta Star member Ges-E are front figures of the renowned UK based "Nasha Records" label pioneering the Asian Underground scene since the mid-1990s. The Nasha crew has toured the world and held residences at all legendary UK venues alongside the likes of Talvin Singh and Nitin Sawhney.

The Meerkats are proud to be Chosen to present this legendary masterpiece and continue our collaboration with Nuphlo and his crew on Nasha. A shining star at the forefront of the UK drum & bass scene, Nuphlo’s track “Atma” on his previous vinyl EP on Meerkat Recordings was praised repeatedly by Bobby Friction on BBC Asian Network:

“This is the kind of track you could almost pray to, get spiritual to.”

“You’ve been listening to Nuphlo’s Atma: out next week on Meerkat Recordings. Meerkat -- as in Meerkat! Hahahahahaha Meerkat Recordings hahaha!”
