Finnair Technical Services has announced an agreement with U.S. based World Airways covering airframe maintenance for two of the airline's DC-10-30 aircraft. The companies have earlier had a contract for line maintenance visits and in 2005 Finnair Technical Services carried out airframe maintenance for World Airways MD11 freighter fleet.

World Airways, Inc., a wholly owned subsidiary of World Air Holdings is a charter and international passenger and cargo airline founded in 1948 with its home base in Peachtree City, Georgia. It has a fleet of 14 Boeing MD-11 aircraft and three DC-10 aircraft.

Of Finnair Technical Services' 200 million euro turnover, approximately one third comes from maintenance contracts with third-party customers such as, in addition to the above, Aeroflot Cargo, Martinair and KLM-Air France.
