From June 6th, 2014, it will be mandatory for all suppliers to the Italian government and municipalities to send e-invoices to them. Initially, 4,000 entities within the central administration will be included. The requirement will gradually be extended to include all entities within the Italian government and municipalities from March 30th, 2015.
All our customers can already now fulfil this requirement thanks to our cooperation with Sogei, the sole supplier of IT services to the Italian MEF (the Ministry of Economy and Finances). The cooperation means that Pagero is an authorized supplier of e-invoice services in Italy. All e-invoices are delivered to the recipient via Pagero Online, and thanks to our value added service Digital Signature, we fulfil the requirements that the Italian government imposes on the guarantee of authenticity and archiving of electronic documents.
"We have been working actively with interoperability for a long time, for our customers to reach as many business partners as possible, regardless of service provider", says Jonas Edlund, CMO and Co-founder, Pagero. "For some time, we have experienced a significant increase in demand for e-invoicing from Central and Southern Europe, and is was an natural step for us to invest in the Italian market in order to help our customers. We are planning to introduce more agreements of cooperation for continued expansion in Europe in the near future."
