Bactiguard’s Infection Protection portfolio is entering the Turkish market

Bactiguard has signed an exclusivity agreement with Capa Medikal, one of the strongest established medical suppliers in Turkey. Capa Medikal will sell Bactiguard´s complete infection protection portfolio, including urinary, intravenous and respiratory catheters.

Bactiguard’s products not only prevent infections, but also reduces the use of antibiotics and saves health care expenditures”.

Capa Medikal represents many well-known companies such as B Braun, Mölnlycke Health Care, Sempermed and others.

Health care associated infections (HAI) are the fourth largest cause of death in the world. The Bactiguard® coating has been applied to urinary catheters in the U.S. since 1995 and over 125 million Bactiguard coated catheters have been used in clinical practice all over the world. The Bactiguard technology consists of an extremely thin noble metal coating that reduces bacterial adhesion and is biocompatible.
