SUP46, a member-based community in central Stockholm where over 50 startups work side by side on 2000sqm, has joined forces with Balderton Capital, one of Europe’s leading venture capital firms. Balderton becomes International Investor Member at SUP46 and SUP46’s roster of International Investor Members thus grows to six.

It is SUP46’s ambition to give their member companies a competitive advantage when it comes to creating Sweden’s next big technology company. This advantage is provided by an ecosystem of partners, sponsors and advisors who work with member companies through a series of mentoring opportunities, workshops and events.

Balderton Capital has been a consistent and large investor in Scandinavian technology, making eleven investments in the region since 2000. Only last year in August 2015 Balderton invested in Instabridge, which is now a SUP46 Alumni company.

To celebrate the agreement with SUP46, Balderton’s entire partnership is travelling to Stockholm in order to meet local entrepreneurs, investors and to host workshops at SUP46.

- SUP46 has become a central hub for start-ups in the region, and Jessica and her team have done an amazing job in putting entrepreneurship on the agenda, both to make is easier to start and run businesses in Stockholm, and to provide a place where knowledge and experiences are shared. This spirit of collaboration is an incredibly important component in building an ecosystem, an effort we are proud to support at Balderton, as we continue to discover and back great entrepreneurs from the region, says Sam Myers, Investor at Balderton Capital.

- We are very proud to be adding Balderton as a Global Friend. I know that having their experience and expertise as part of our community will be greatly appreciated by our members. Balderton has both the interest and focus to contribute to the growth and development of our members, which is what we always look for in our partners, says Jessica Stark, CEO and Co-founder of SUP46.
