Chimney Acquires Åkesson & Curry

Chimney boosts its position as a Creation Agency by acquiring Åkesson & Curry. The acquisition expands Chimney’s content marketing offer and expects to have leverage, making Chimney one of Sweden’s largest content agencies.

The content marketing veteran Åkesson & Curry is expected to have a turn-over of 31 MSEK in 2018 and works with clients such as Nordea, Teracom, ATG, StenaLine and SSAB. The agency has 25 employees, many with an editorial and journalistic background and a strategic capacity to lead projects in multi channels.

Åkesson and Curry will remain in their office and keep the brand for a while, before they fully integrate with Chimney.

Chimney will after the acquisition have 13 offices in 9 countries and 400 employees. The group is expected to have a turn-over of 500 MSEK and works with clients such as H&M, Google, Netflix, EA Sports, IKEA, Adidas and Daniel Wellington.
