Digital Days Stockholm starts in May 2012

Stockholm will host functions collected under the Digital Days Stockholm 2012 event between 7th and 11th May 2012. Everyone who wants to arrange an Online Business event is welcome to market their operations cost free under the umbrella of Digital Days Stockholm. Digital Days Stockholm is arranged by Wednesday Relations in cooperation with Klikki and Stockholm IT Region.

”We see that Digital Days Stockholm is an important plattform in increasing the knowledge of Online Business in the Stockholm region and at the same time we help the companies in getting new contacts and participants to their operations” says Mats Gustafsson, the founder and CEO of Wednesday Relations.

The idea is to collect a large, varied offering of events for one week in order to create a focus on online business and areas connected to it. The objective is to attract over 20 operations and 1 500 participants to the Digital Days Stockholm event.

Digital Days Stockholm was started by Lars Johansson and it was arranged in 2010 for the first time. The basic idea was to collect several events for a short period of time and to create a common appeal for the region. Wednesday Relations is responsible for the organisation in 2012. ”It is really great that Wednesday Relations has taken over the responsibility and sees that Digital Days Stockholm continues to flourish. This should be next year’s biggest event for everyone who works with digital channels”, says Lars Johansson.

Stockholm IT Region has been a partner since the beginning. ”Stockholm is one of the world’s leading IT cities. Right now a lot is happening in the branch, which has been marked by e.g. the Wall Street Journal that recently named Stockholm as one of Europe’s hottest startup cities in the areas of technology and Internet. In order to strengthen the branch further, it is important to offer meeting places, both large and small ones. Digital Days Stockholm is a good initiative in organizing many of these under the same umbrella and this way we make them more easily accessible, not least for the international guests” says Mattias Durnik, the project manager of Stockholm IT Region.
