Gynius also won this year’s Crossing of Boundaries award. The price was handed today to Gynius Medical Director Elisabeth Wikströn Shemer at the ceremony at Münchenbryggeriet, in Stockholm, Sweden.

Gynius inventor and medical director Dr Elisabeth Wikström Shemer developed the first truly portable colposcope “The GynocularTM” and in 2009 she started Gynius AB together with Isaac Shemer and Matthew Volsky. Gynius has during the last years helped to change the way colposcopy and examinations are done, documented, shared and developed to setting new standards.
