INGENIUM: THE NEW ENTREPRENEURSHIP AND INNOVATION PROGRAM, BY CELSA GROUP

Pressmeddelande   •   Okt 06, 2016 15:55 CEST

  • Until 4 November, this initiative challenges entrepreneurs and start-ups from all over the world to meet five challenges raised by the steel sector.
  • In return, they will have access to mentoring, useful networking and will have real possibilities of progress within the company, if their solutions are effective.

Ingenium is a program that supports talent. It was set up by CELSA Group in order to deal with the transformation posed by the Industry 4.0, to lead change and, ultimately, to revolutionize the steel sector as we know it.

This initiative stems from the importance of investing in new technologies as tools to innovatively meet the challenging demands of the steel industry, as well as from the Group’s firm belief that new ideas will contribute to reinventing this economic sector.

In order to achieve it, Ingenium offers to the entrepreneurs and start-ups the chance to submit their ideas and projects that focus on several challenges, grouped into 5 broad categories:

-Challenge 1: Energy storage

-Challenge 2: Supply chain traceability

-Challenge 3: 3D printing

-Challenge 4: Intelligent steel

-Challenge 5: Byproducts valorisation

Once the registration deadline for start-ups is closed, a team of Ingenium experts will select proposals providing best solutions for these challenges. Finalists will participate in CELSA Demo Day, where the best start-ups will be selected and given the chance to enter an Ingenium acceleration program. Then, the winners will work alongside professionals of the company to turn their proposals into real pilot projects.

Registration for entrepreneurs and start-ups that would like to be part of the program is open until 4 November 2016. Register here.
