Hiasan Design is a new independent jewellery label that is based in the Swedish Lapland, but rooted in Southeast Asia. The label launched its webshop on April 13th, and Suzanna Törnroth, the founder of Hiasan Design, characterises the label as an East meets West story. Hiasan by definition means 'embellishment' in Indonesian, paying homage to Suzanna's Javanese heritage.
From the tropics to the arctic.
Hiasan Design was originally founded in 2004 when it was based in Singapore. Back then, the label was mainly involved with bazaars and pop-ups in and around the city. At the beginning of 2018, the label was reconceptualised and revamped due to a newfound strong connection to nature and Swedish living that began playing a significant role in Hiasan's designs. Hiasan Design, now based in Luleå, within the Swedish Lapland, launched its online webshop on the 13th of April, where it offers a varied collection of 925 Sterling Silver, gemstones and freshwater pearls. The designs blend Asian heritage with contemporary Scandinavian design and can be characterised as honest, fun, and a little rustic. Suzanna works as an urban designer alongside running Hiasan Design, which has allowed for some geometric and architectural influences to make its way into Hiasan's aesthetic.
"We're all about beautiful imperfections." Hiasan Design saw a gap in the local market for jewellery that truly speaks for cultural diversity and caters to women from all walks of life. The label deeply appreciates quality and a healthy lifestyle, and it was significant for Suzanna to be able to create a label that reflects that as well. Hiasan's jewellery is all made of 925 Sterling Silver that can be worn even by the most sensitive of skins, and with proper care, they will last customers a lifetime. The label works closely with their suppliers to provide customers unique designs that are limited in number, solely to ensure that each piece belongs truly and exclusively to only a handful of people. The gemstones are also personally sourced from in and around Asia, to ensure the authenticity of Hiasan's vision and jewellery.

The Taste of Spring collection is the label's premiering collection for the webshop that encapsulates the colours, sights and emotions of Spring. It is vibrant, feminine and whimsical, with each piece being limited in its design and number. The collection offers a variety of earrings, necklaces and bracelets that come both as individual designs and as matching styles.

Hiasan aims for the webshop to be easy to use and fuss-free. That is why the webshop offers additional services that make online shopping a whole lot more convenient- free worldwide delivery, free returns for customers within the EU, gift-wrapping, and a complimentary care-kit. All you need to do as a customer is click "add to cart", and Hiasan will do the rest for you. In celebration of the webshop launch, Hiasan is offering a store-wide discount of 10% with every order above 800 SEK. The promotion will last until Friday the 20th.
