PicHit.Me continues to change the way we use photos online, and during the coming months we will announce a number of collaborations with leading global partners. Today we are proud to announce our global collaboration with the World Scout Movement.
- "We welcome our relationship with PicHit.Me as an important part in the process of how Scouts around the world can visually share their community outreach programs, adventures and activities with each other on scout.org." - Scott A. Teare, Secretary General, World Organization of the Scout Movement.
The implementation program phase of the collaboration will be formally announced in August 2014 during the World Scout Youth Forum in Slovenia.
"Having grown up in a family with a strong Scouting tradition I am personally proud to be part of providing the next generation tool for communicating the powerful values and ethos of Scouting. This PicHit.Me powered Scout platform is built in close cooperation with Microsoft Corp. on the Microsoft Azure cloud platform. The platform takes advantage of the scalability in Azure to support millions of scouts across the globe, empowering them with the opportunity to inspire, document and share their adventures" says Mathias Björkholm, Co-Founder and COO at PicHit.Me.
With Scouting representation in 160 regions globally and over 40 million members, PicHit.Me chose to build this service for World Scout Movement on Microsoft Azure giving the organization the ability to scale and meet their global needs.
”Microsoft Azure can deliver and scale business-ready apps for every platform easily and readily and what PicHit.Me has built to support over 40 Million Scouts around the world provides a perfect example of how Microsoft Azure can be applied to provide scalable and global developer solutions.” – Neil Leslie, General Manager, Microsoft.
