Tersman recently returned to Sweden after spending a period of time as guest lecturer at the University of Sydney in Australia.

– I am very pleased that we have been able to bring Folke Tersman into the Global Challenges Foundation board. Folke is an authority in research focusing on how to deal with the global risks that threaten humanity. He will bring both new insights and experience to our work, says Foundation’s Chairman Laszlo Szombatfalvy.

Folke Tersman says in a comment:

– Having the opportunity to contribute to the Foundation’s key activities in this way is an honor. In a short period of time the Foundation has managed to achieve outstanding results. It has an important role to play in the work of arming ourselves to meet the global risks we face.

Global Challenges Foundation works to raise awareness on global catastrophic risks, and accelerate the development of global governance that can address them. The Foundation’s Board consists of, besides Laszlo Szombatfalvy, Mats Andersson, Björn Franzon, Christer Jacobson and Johan Rockström.
