On 5 May at 15:00 CET, a world record attempt will begin on Viaplay with four people doing their utmost to beat the current record of 87 hours, by continuously watching every episode of the TV series 24.
To mark the premiere of the event series 24: Live Another Day, Viaplay will be holding a binge-viewing world record attempt. Viewers can share the experience at viaplay.se/worldrecord24.
“Offering a world record attempt live on Viaplay is incredibly exciting,” says Janette Cohen, Head of PR at Viaplay. “According to the Guinness World Records’ rules, participants can only take a five minute break after each earned hour, which they can save up to take a longer break. It’ll be a tough challenge to say the least, but it’ll also be great fun.”
The current record of 87 hours was set by Dan Jordan, Spencer Larson and Chris Laughlin at the Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas, Nevada, on 6-10 January 2014.
24: Live Another Day is the first series to be made available on Viaplay Premiere, a brand new concept that includes exclusive premieres of selected titles on Viaplay.
Viaplay is available on PC, Mac, Android and iOS mobile phones, tablets, LG Smart TV, Samsung Smart TV, Philips Smart TV, Panasonic Smart TV, Xbox 360, PlayStation® 3 and PlayStation® 4.
