Somna AB launches Somna Blanket™ Sensitive – a softer and warmer chain weighted blanket

Somna AB, which develops and manufactures its products in Stenkullen on the outskirts of Gothenburg, is now launching Somna Blanket™ Sensitive, which builds on the success of its patented Somna Blanket™. The blanket has a two-in-one function: one side with padding and one side with chains. Somna Blanket™ Sensitive has twice as much padding as the classic Somna Blanket™, which makes it suitable for people who need extra warmth or who prefer a softer level of pressure against the body.

“We’re noticing that some of our users need a softer blanket, such as those suffering from dementia and pain disorders where the body is more sore and sensitive. In addition, we’re seeing that some users prefer a warmer blanket, but still want the same tactile stimulation from the chains. The two-in-one functionality of our Somna Blanket™ Sensitive solves both of these needs.”
Fredrik Löfgren, CEO of Somna AB.

The Somna Blanket™ is designed to relieve agitation, anxiety and insomnia. The function of the blanket is based on scientific studies into the calming effects of weight and pressure. Using the blanket enables you to relax, wind down, and achieve a better quality of sleep.

The blanket has two-in-one functionality whereby having the padded side against the body gives the user a deep, pleasant pressure, while having the chain side against the body provides greater tactile stimulation. The chains in the blanket follow the body’s contours and give the user a pleasant feeling of being embraced.
