In February 2012 the MiL programme for experienced managers made a donation to Baby’s Home, Shanghai, China. Baby’s Home is a charity voluntary organisation for disabled orphans from the countryside in need of medical treatment founded in 2008. The charity organization has recently expanded its operations and is funded by volunteers inside and outside the country.

The MiL leadership programme worked for free as management consultants supporting the organization in finding strategies for more stable funding and also organizing more efficiently and suggesting ways of leading volunteers in different ways when they visited Shanghai in May 2011. ”The MiL group contributed immensely and we are now working in the areas that they have suggested to improve step by step what they suggested”, says Wencui Guo, director of Baby’s Home.

The MiL project work is part of a “Out-of-the-box-week” in Shanghai with its purpose to increase the participant’s self awareness and cultural skills. Learning about business, leading complexity and change and also increasing one’s resilience are other aims of the week.

The basis for MiL Institute lies in profoundly thought through values and our own models for strategy and organisation, development and change. Action Reflection Learning® is our trademark. We work with development and change which leads to more effective and more people oriented organisations.
