Tacton Systems and Lino GmbH present the upcoming version of TactonWorks at the Design Automation Conference in Mainz

Stockholm, Sweden – September 28, 2010 – Tacton Systems, a global provider of sales and product configuration software, and Lino GmbH, an innovative consulting company for Design Automation, 3D-CAD and Data quality, announced today that they will hold the first Central Europe Design Automation Conference together in Mainz, on October 28th 2010. TactonWorks is a SolidWorks Gold Partner Product. The focus of the event will be the upcoming version of TactonWorks Engineer and TactonWorks Studio. A wide range of practical examples concerning product and sales configuration will be shown, along with discussions and input from experts. The German Engineering Association (VDMA) and independent consulting firms will also be holding presentations.

The reduction of costs and an optimal product diversity customized to the market, helps companies to achieve long-term business success. Manufacturing companies want to offer their customers a greater selection of products and at the same time save research and production costs by reducing product complexity and internal variation. CAD automation and CAD-independent sales configuration solutions can optimize the entire value chain of a company including design, sales and production processes.

The event held by Tacton Systems and authorized Tacton partner Lino GmbH will introduce the upcoming version to TactonWorks users. There will be presentations concerning the new functions and an update seminar. In roundtable discussions with experts like Tacton Systems’ co-founder Dr. Klas Orsvärn and the TactonWorks product manager Johan Ernfors, users will have the opportunity to influence the future software development of TactonWorks.

The Avant-garde among the well-known production companies in the German-speaking regions of Europe will also describe their experiences with the Tacton product and sales structure. Julius Blum GmbH, HT Labor & Hospitaltechnik AG, Siemens AG are examples of some of the speakers. Customers and interested parties will be provided with an exclusive platform for exchanging experiences and information, about the SolidWorks-integrated product configuration system TactonWorks and Tacton Configurator solutions.
