Telepo nominerade till 2007 års europeiska ICT-pris

Det svenska programbolaget Telepo har nominerats till 2007 års europeiska ICT-pris, "European Information and Communications Technology Grand Prize". Bakom priset ligger Europa-kommissionen som uppmuntrar företag som har stor teknisk och affärsmässig potential. Nomineringen följer strax efter Telepo's framgång förra veckan i Barcelona där bolaget fick pris av branschorganisationen GSMA för bästa mobila företagstjänst.

 

Det europeiska ICT-priset är ett av de mest eftertraktade prisen. 20 finalister har valts ut bland 450 teknikföretag över hela Europa. De vinnande kandidaterna kommer att presenteras på branschmässan CeBIT i Hanover, Tyskland den 16 mars av kommissionär Viviane Reding. Den totala prissuman är på 700 000 Euro.

Telepo nominee for the 2007 European Information and Communications Technology Grand Prize

Stockholm, February 21, 2007 – Telepo, a Swedish software company, has been nominated for the 2007 European Information and Communications Technology Grand Prize. The Prize is supported by the European Commission and endorses companies with high technology and business potential. The nomination follows on Telepo’s success last week in Barcelona receiving the GSM Association 2007 Award for the Best Mobile Enterprise Product or Service.

The European Information and Communications Technology Prize is one of Europe's most coveted technology prizes. A total of 20 finalists have been selected among 450 technology companies throughout Europe. The winning candidates will share the total prize money of € 700,000.

Leading telecom vendors such as Ericsson has licensed our software, we won the 2007 GSMA Award in Barcelona – and now being nominated for the 2007 European ICT Grand Prize is truly an honour”, said Lars-Michaël Paqvalén, CEO of Telepo.

The prize is supported by the European Commission as part of its efforts to promote Europe's ICT industry and boost growth. The Winners and Grand Prize Winners will be presented by European Commissioner Mrs Viviane Reding at CeBIT, one of the world's major ICT events, in Hanover, Germany on March 16.
