Swedish Hasbeens

The Swedish Box – A piece of Sweden opens in Shoreditch!

Pressmeddelande   •   Jan 31, 2014 11:49 CET

This Spring, Shoreditch will once again feel a little bit more Scandinavian. The Swedish clog and retro brand Swedish Hasbeens are taking over a bit of Box Park, making East London ooze of meatballs and ABBA's Agneta Fältskog. Or clogs to be more specific but one Swedish classic doesn’t really go without the other.

In early March a very big wooden delivery will arrive at the Shoreditch streets, quite eager to put every Brit in sandal mode. The new optimistic collection - The Best Collection – in the best of all possible worlds - decided to take a roundtrip to the 18th century and came back with influences from Voltaire and Marie Antoinette, just to name a few. The new collection is determined to amuse and enlighten you. What else can you ask for then, than a bunch of ice cream colored wedges and golden heels that smooches Big Ben’s forehead. They are quite high, that’s where we are aiming at - if it was unclear.

6th of March, and six months on, the Swedish Box will be open carrying everything from the new Spring clogs to dark Fall favorites.

Welcome to Sweden - Right next door!

Swedish Hasbeens @ Boxpark

1970 in southern of Sweden. Her name was Anita and she was the hottest looking ABBA-mum. While smoking Camel she screamed at her kids until her curlers fell out and just looked fabulous in her white high-heeled clogs. One summer day in 2006 Emy Blixt found the shoes Anita wore in the basement of an old clog factory and started Swedish Hasbeens.

Our ambition is to continue to release more incoherent and fun shoes and stuff inspired by Hasbeens that once ruled the planet. The Hasbeens toffels, bags and belts are based on original models from the past and are made of super quality vegetable tanned natural grain leather since it just becomes insanely beautiful when aged. Our production methods and material are kind to nature and people. Happy toffels make happy people.
