Thule Adventure Team, one of the worlds’ best multisport teams, is preparing for Adventure Race World Championship in Spain.

On Thursday 30th September Thule Adventure Team is setting off to Spain to attend, Bimbache Extreme, this year's host for the in official Adventure Race World Championship (ARWC). 50 mixed teams of 4 members each from 30 countries are participating in the race.

Unlike the other races the team has run this year this is partly longer (700 km), and without any obligatory stop. This means the race is running both days and nights. Unfortunately not too many teams get in to the finish line in these NON-stop races, often not more than 20-40% of the teams. Thule Adventure Team is set up in a good position, with a good momentum and aspires to get on the podium once the race is finished!

ARWC is 700 km long and contains, mountain bike cycle, trekking, canoeing in rivers and lakes, rafting, inline skating and spectacular sections of rope.

This time the Thule Adventure Team include, apart from Captain Martin Flinta:

  • Petri Forsman,
AR Worldchampion 2001, 2nd place 2006. Junior Orienteering World Champion, for a very long time ago. 1st open Swedish Championship in multisport 2008, with Janne Monanen
