Truecaller founders invest millions in the disruptive B2B Marketing company Albacross
The founders of Truecaller are investing millions of SEK in Lead Generation and Account Based Marketing company Albacross, together with tech veteran and venture capitalist Stefan Lennhammer. New financiers also include Facebook's Nordic Manager Martin Ingemansson and professional board member Sam Bonnier. Stefan Lennhammer is also appointed the new Chairman of the Board.
- We are pleased to announce that the founders of Truecaller, an app with over 250 million users, chose to invest in the next stage of the development of Albacross, together with Sweden's most distinguished business angel Stefan Lennhammer, says Victor Ekelund, CEO and co-founder of Albacross.
The investment totals 8 million SEK and is also financed by Facebook's Nordic Manager Martin Ingemansson and professional board member Sam Bonnier. The main purpose is to enable a continued international expansion into the European market and commercialization of free B2B lead generation.
Today, Albacross offers a free service to automate and simplify the monitoring of potential customers from any website.
- Our goal is to out-compete existing paid solutions on the market by progressively growing the Albacross user base and by further development of our concept, says Viktor Carlsson, Vice President and co-founder of Albacross.
Many smaller companies in the B2B segment have a limited marketing budget. Albacross therefore offers a target-driven marketing platform where users can choose to promote themselves against precisely selected companies and audiences, called Account Based Marketing. This helps to increase business efficiency and relevance, while keeping cost and risk to a minimum.
- Albacross has an exciting growth plan and we are very interested to follow its development. The composition of investors is also extremely dynamic and we will participate to develop Albacross with more than just our financial investment, says Truecaller-founder Alan Mamedi and Nami Zarringhalam.
In addition to the invested capital. Stefan Lennhammer, Chairman of the Board at Truecaller, is also appointed to Chairman of the Board at Albacross.
- Stefan Lennhammer has extensive experience in building companies, and is the founder and CEO of Catella. Stefan is accustomed to actively working with growth companies and was also named tech investors of the year in 2015 - which is a great merit considering all the exciting tech companies located in Sweden. The composition of skills regarding user growth and experience from Truecaller, plus expertise from Facebook, clearly creates great opportunities for Albacross in regards to our future launches, says Viktor Ekelund.
Albacross has previously been funded by IT veteran and venture capitalist Magnus Emilsson and Gustav Söderström, Chief Product Officer at Spotify.
Albacross provides a target-driven marketing platform where users can track and analyze which companies are showing interest in their website.
The service allows users to market themselves against precisely selected companies and audiences. Albacross was founded 2014, and has its headquarters in Stockholm, Sweden.
