3gamma Graduate Programme – ARMADA – Interview with Alexander Sundqvist

What attracted you to 3gamma and why select 3gamma’s graduate programme?

I came in touch with 3gamma at GÖSTA (University of Gothenburg student fair). From the outset I felt the graduate programme was the perfect platform to start my professional career as an IT management consultant. It offered professional mentoring, combined with real-world project experience, which was very appealing. For me 3gamma has several attractive attributes; it’s a small fast growing company that values individuals’ contributions and it’s focus and commitment to client satisfaction.

What was the recruiting process like and what are your thoughts on it?

The recruitment process was extensive but at the same time it was not a difficult. The interviews are conducted in a pleasant and friendly manner that gives both parties the chance to get to know each other. There was a very professional dialogue during the entire recruitment process, in which 3gamma provided regular feedback on my progress and clear directives on next steps. The company was also very honest and direct about what they expected of me as a graduate, which made the whole process and possible future career for me very clear.

How has the training within the programme been so far?

The graduate programme has been exciting and very challenging! From day one we were given the opportunity to assist more senior consultants in their assignments, as well as being responsible for further developing internal processes and methods. This has given me insight into how 3gamma works and the mind-set to solve business critical challenges.

What activities within the graduate programme have been the most challenging and the most rewarding (and why)?

We were tasked with what we thought was a relatively straightforward internal assignment to organise the 2014 Christmas Conference. However, we under estimated how much work it takes to coordinate an event that brings together multiple regions. At the same time it is a very fun and rewarding assignment that has given us the opportunity to engage with our colleagues across the Nordic region.

The most challenging aspect of the graduate program is the combination of new things; there is a lot to grasp and understand in the beginning but it is very rewarding as you develop during the process.
