Letter "J" of the first ever human alphabet to be photographed with 500 kids in Sri Lanka

ABC Charity, a global art project of “Kids Helping Kids” continues its journey around the world, photographing the world's first ever "human alphabet " together with thousands of kids around the world - one letter per country, 500 kids in each letter. ABC Charity creates inspiring events for the kids giving them a memory of a lifetime enabling them to support children’s charities around the world.

The next event and photo production of the letter “J” of the human alphabet will be held June 5 2018 in Dickoya, at Dilmah Tea’s Dunkeld Tea Plantation estate. Supporting the event is ABC Charity’s National Ambassador Merrill J Fernando and Dilmah Tea’s staff volunteering at the event.

ABC Charity is working its way around the globe creating one letter per country from A-Z. The letters are sold as limited edition photo art in the abccharity.org pre-sale web-shop so companies and individuals can already buy their letters of choice, and 100% of the sales, after print and transactions fees are covered (always a minimum of 90%) goes to a children charity of the buyer’s choice. DHL ships for free around the world. In Sri Lanka ABC Charity will support MJF Charitable Foundation amongst other reputable charities in the country. Behind the project is founder and Swedish photographer, philanthropist, and change-maker Filip Cederholm Agoo who gave up his previous career as a successful commercial photographer to fulfil his dream - doing what he loves while empowering kids to become positive change-makers and raising money for charity.

“It is an amazing feeling to come to a country and be met with so much positivity and beauty, the nature and the people in Sri Lanka are truly inspirational. We are looking forward to creating an event together with the community and all the kids, empowering them to become positive change-makers. We will be holding workshops for the kids at the schools prior and showing them how we all can use our creative expression to support our community and the world at large and create the most fun event ever on the day of the production. We are so grateful for the support from our National Ambassador Merrill J Fernando, founder of Dilmah Tea. We can’t wait to create the letter “J” together with them and inspire all kids to become positive change-makers in the world. Together, we will make the world a more kind and playful place.” - says Filip with a big smile.

The landscape of the photograph will picture the beautiful Dunkeld Tea Plantation by the Castlereigh Reservoir, and the soft mountains of the Sri Lankan highlands. The event will kick-off with capturing the formation of the letter ”J” in the early morning sunrise hours, formed by 500 children from local schools, photographed by Filip from an aerial view. Once the picture is taken, the event will continue and involve performances, food/drinks served by Dilmah and entertainment. Photographer Filip and the Dilmah team will hold empowerment speeches and Fia Garvner Agoo will lead the kids through movements along with a short meditation to remind them of the important role they are playing in helping kids, not only in their own country but in other countries all around the world, by being a part of the letter J. Each kid will receive a tee-shirt with ABC Charity’s slogan “Kind is the New Cool”. The event is complimentary for all the kids thanks to the support from local companies and the community, our Letter Sponsor Jaybird, Dilmah Tea, our National Ambassador Merrill J Fernando, photographer Filip Cederholm Agoo and the ABC Charity team.
