Greece: From wrestling to boxing
Aberdeen Asset Management Fixed Income Investment Manager Luke Bartholomew comments:

“Events in Greece have certainly taken a turn for the worse in the last few days. Tension is ratcheting up, driven by increasingly divisive rhetoric from all parties and fast approaching liquidity deadlines. The argument has stopped looking like wrestling i.e. the appearance of lots violence but ultimately mostly simulated for the audience, and now looks more like boxing i.e. genuine violence between people who don't like each other very much. And this is a boxing match likely to last for many more painful rounds. We are optimistic about the future of Greece’s Eurozone membership and we believe that both Greece and the “institutions” (as we must apparently now call them) of the European Commission, ECB and IMF will come to an agreement. That said, the eye-catching negative headlines will likely ensue for now.”
