Altran lanserar nytt World Class Center för Advanced Networks på Mobile World Congress 2017

Altran, a global leader in Engineering and R&D services (ER&D), is launching a World Class Center for Advanced Networks to provide packaged offers enabling Telecom Operators and Vendors to design, integrate and successfully manage the introduction of new networking technologies.

This WCC leverages Altran’s experience in delivering projects and services to a wide range of Telecom players. The World Class Center (WCC) Advanced Networks has a dedicated team of 110 engineers with a combination of deep knowledge and experience of Tier 1 Operator and Vendor technology and ways of working, plus in-house developed network performance tools to control and improve the quality of network services. The WCC Advanced Networks focuses on three major streams: Network Modernization and Consolidation, Virtualization and Software Defined Networking (SDN/NFV), Transition to 5G.

At the MWC, Altran will present two jointly developed solutions with Daikin, the global innovation leader in the sectors of Heating, Ventilation, Air Conditioning and Refrigeration (HVAC-R), and Biovotion, a leading wearable physiology monitoring company.

- Daikin is adding IoT cloud-based services to its wide range of products to create tailored and efficient flexible solutions targeting shops, multi-sites and residential installations. Altran has been supporting Daikin with Cloud application and platform development, leveraging customized IP blocks of the Altran VueForge® offer. The resulting solution is a fully responsive web application for Shop Owners, Installation & Service partners and the Daikin staff, to effectively manage their shop HVAC installations.

“Altran has successfully designed and delivered a modern, high quality and extremely usable cloud solution, resulting in a smooth Go Live of the product for commercial use. The solution has been live since September 2016 and is servicing a rapidly increasing amount of subscribed users, demonstrating steady performance and stability”, said Patrick Warnez, Daikin Electric & Control Department, Manager Innovation

- Biovotion combines a medical-grade sensing technology with consumer-centric design, convenience and usability. They support users to optimize health, improve treatment outcomes and reduce the cost burden of healthcare provisions. With its multi-domain experience and expertise, Altran has been supporting this early stage company by complementing its innovation appetite and dynamism with structured teams right out of the box, while letting them focus on what they do best.

“Altran is providing the right expertise across multiple domains at the right time and enables us to focus on what matters most”, declared Andreas Caduff, CEO, Biovotion.

On stand #6G11, Altran will be also showcasing demos in key areas such as:

- Industrial IoT: Altran VueForge® IoT Solutions enhance productivity by connecting operators and assets and they also optimize their operations for the next generation of connected factories.

- Automotive: With its CoherenSE® software platform, Altran enables the birth of the next generation of connected and safe vehicles, by managing the complexity of new electronic architectures, and supporting advanced driver assistance for light vehicles.
