Circle K ökar tillgången på förnybart drivmedel
Under det senaste året har Circle K gjort stora satsningar på att öka tillgängligheten på HVO100. Den expansiva utrullningen runt om i landet har gett transportkunder från Malmö i söder till Umeå i norr utökade möjligheter att tanka förnybart. Idag erbjuder totalt 22 av Circle K:s truckdieselstationer HVO100 för tung trafik. Fler anläggningar planeras under det kommande året.
– Efterfrågan på HVO100 ökar hela tiden. Med vår satsning på HVO gör vi nu det ännu enklare för våra transportkunder att välja fossilfria alternativ och minska sin klimatpåverkan, säger Helena Fornstedt, Senior Director Fuel på Circle K.
Utrullningen av HVO100 för tung trafik påbörjades under 2015 och i dag finns drivmedlet tillgängligt på totalt 22 av Circle K:s truckdieselstationer runt om i landet. Truckdieselstationen i Linköping fick tillgång till HVO100 i maj 2016, något som har tagits emot positivt av åkerierna i området.
– Vi på PG Lots känner oss prioriterade som nu får möjligheten att tanka HVO100 på truckstationen i anslutning till vår terminal. Med satsningen Circle K nu gör underlättar det för oss och många andra att välja ett förnybart alternativ och minska vår klimatpåverkan, säger Mikael Carlsson, vd på PG Lots.
HVO, hydrerad vegetabilisk olja, är en förnybar diesel som baseras på animaliska och vegetabiliska oljor, avfall och restprodukter. HVO100 är ett klimatsmart alternativ till fossil diesel som minskar koldioxidutsläppen med upp till 90 procent. HVO100, dvs. 100 procent HVO, fungerar utmärkt i vanliga dieselmotorer. Produkten har nyligen fått en europeisk standard EN 15940 men eftersom standarden ännu inte är implementerad i Sverige kräver användningen godkännande från fordonstillverkaren. All HVO som säljs av Circle K är fri från palmolja och PFAD.
– Genom vår satsning på HVO100 är vi med och utvecklar framtidens drivmedelsmarknad, där fokus på flytande fossilfria drivmedel kommer att spela en viktig roll i framtiden, säger Helena Fornstedt.
