Nu utökar Circle K möjligheten att tanka HVO100 även för personbilar
Under de senaste åren har Circle K ökat tillgängligheten av den fossilfria dieseln HVO100 för tung yrkestrafik. HVO100 är ett klimatsmart alternativ till fossil diesel som minskar koldioxidutsläppen med upp till 90 procent. Nu tar Circle K nästa steg genom att även erbjuda HVO100 till personbilar på tre fullservicestationer i Göteborg; Circle K Frölunda Torg, Circle K Vänortsgatan och Circle K Olskroken.
HVO, hydrerad vegetabilisk olja, är en förnybar diesel som baseras på animaliska och vegetabiliska oljor, avfall och restprodukter och fungerar utmärkt i vanliga dieselmotorer. HVO100 har en europeisk standard, men än så länge är det enbart Citroën och Peugeot som godkänt HVO100 på personbilssidan, för Euro5- och Euro6-dieselmotorer, men sannolikt kommer fler följa efter. Till dess gäller det att få godkännande från fordonstillverkaren.
– För att nå målsättningen om ett fossilfritt Sverige så måste utsläppen minska. Vi vill göra det enkelt för våra kunder att välja fossilfria alternativ. Här vill vi tillsammans med våra kunder aktivt bidra genom att även erbjuda tankställen med HVO100 för personbilar och först ut är Göteborg, säger Helena Fornstedt, Senior Director Fuel på Circle K.
Erlandsson Bygg AB är en av Circle K:s kunder som efterfrågat HVO100 för sina bilar. De var också först på plats för att premiärtanka HVO100 på Circle K Frölunda Torg.
– Vi är väldigt glada över att Circle K nu introducerar HVO100 för personbilar eftersom det innebär att vi som företag kan köra fossilfria transporter, och därmed minska koldioxidutsläppen, säger Markus Brink, VD och Koncernchef för Erlandsson Bygg AB.

Idag erbjuder Circle K flera förnybara drivmedel för att minska klimatpåverkan från transporter där HVO100 är ett komplement till miles diesel som innehåller upp till 40 procent förnybart, varav 35 procent är HVO. Under 2015 uppgick andelen förnybart till 17,5 procent av Circle K:s totalt sålda drivmedel. Det gav en utsläppsminskning på över 1 miljon ton CO2 vilket motsvarar utsläppen från 440 000 personbilar och gör Circle K till Sveriges största leverantör av förnybara drivmedel.
