Among the 180 participants, there are about 50 investors, a majority of them representing the largest European financers in cleantech; Zouk Ventures, Conduit Ventures Environmental Technologies Fund, BASF, Grundfos, Investinor, Cleantech Invest, Northzone Ventures, Capricorn Venture Partners, Sustainable Technologies Fund, Energy Future Invest and many more.
“We see Cleantech Capital Day as a modern market place for the entire Nordic region when it comes to cleantech investments. Theoretically we have actually enabled space for more than 900 meetings today.” says Alexander Bigge Lidgren at Cleantech Scandinavia, the organizer of Nordic Cleantech Open and Cleantech Capital Day 2011.
“The Nordic Cleantech Open is important to us as we hope to meet with keen companies from the industry, interested in future partnership and cooperation”, says Ane Christophersen at WindFlip, one of the participating and competing cleantech start-ups based in Stavanger, Norway.
