Coast Communications wins FOI communications tender

Stockholm 9 March 2012 – Swedish Defence Research Agency, FOI, has selected Coast Communications as one of its communications agencies. Assignments under the contract means that Coast Communications could, among other things, serve as an advisor in strategic communications issues.

Coast Communications has previously for several years provided periodical communications support to such government agencies as the Swedish Defence Materiel Administration (FMV), NUTEK (the predecessor of the Swedish Agency for Economic and Regional Growth) and the Swedish National Agency for Higher Education.

“Coast Communications employs efficient models which enables the execution of controlled and reliable communications support”, says Karl G Rickhamre, MD Coast Communications. “In recent years, our principal clients have included global research corporations with significant contracts in the public sector”.

Coast Communications has in the past carried out neither regular nor temporary assignments for the FOI, and has not provided advice or otherwise participated in the communications and reporting surrounding the FOI in recent days.

In its tender, FOI has signaled that the agency will need to implement a number of strategic communications undertakings in the forthcoming years.
