Canon Europe's DC in Amstelveen has recently optimized the outbound flow by implementing a conveyor, packing and sorting system from VanderLande Industries in the DC operated by Nippon Express BV.

Consafe Logistics has extended the WCS with the control of the existing middleware application. The WCS now controls the Daifuku high bay cranes and the VanderLande material handling equipment. All pick packages are now checked on weight accuracy and new quality controls have been implemented.

During the project the existing server platform is also replaced with a windows cluster environment. This project has been realized in a very short period and to full satisfaction of Canon Europe.
