STOCKHOLM/KÖPING, February 23, 2012 — The Swedish clean-tech company, Cortus, has succeeded for the first time, in a 500 kW gasification plant, to produce synthesis gas from biomass without traces of hydrocarbons. It has previously not been possible to produce completely pure biogas from biomass without generating impurities of hydrocarbons.

Vid förgasning i en 500 kW-anläggning i Köping har det svenska cleantech-företaget Cortus lyckats att för första gången producera syngas från biomassa utan spår av kolväten. Det har tidigare inte varit möjligt att producera helt ren biogas från biomassa utan att få restprodukter av kolväten. "Resultatet av våra tester är oerhört glädjande" säger Rolf Ljunggren, vd för Cortus AB.
