Future engineers visit CPAC Systems

Last Friday, Dec 9, Tekniksprånget (TS) students interning at various Volvo Group companies came together at CPAC Systems to meet, greet and eat. The hosts were our own “Tekniksprånget” students, Mona, Alfhild and Alrik, who together arranged the program for the visit, the purpose being to get to know each other, network and learn about what the host students have been doing at CPAC Systems.

The visit began with a presentation by CPAC’s RnD and industry segment heads followed by a tasty lunch. The students then went on a walk-about round the office to learn about the different segments (marine, industry and construction) within CPAC. The day ended with a presentation by the TS hosts on the kind of assignments they have had at CPAC and the results of these assignments. The visit went well and the visitors left in good mood armed with new knowledge about CPAC Systems.

Tekniksprånget (TS) is a four-month long internship program for students to undergo practical internship at different engineering companies. The purpose is to try the ‘life of an engineer’ to get an idea of what one could be interested in. It also serves to motivate students to go on to further studies. The opportunity is available all over Sweden for students who have graduated from technical or natural science studies. For more information on ‘Tekniksprånget’, visit www.teknikspranget.se. CPAC Systems is a sponsor and advocate of this program as we see a clear need for engineers in Sweden and this is one of the ways, we promote the profession among the young.
