Cubera announces successful first close of Cubera VI

Cubera has raised capital to its sixth and so far largest fund. The fund is established to acquire interests in existing private equity funds in the Nordic region.

“More than EUR 35 billion is currently under management in Nordic private equity funds, primarily in funds with a 10-13 year horizon. Cubera takes part in the creation of a secondary market for these fund interests”, says Jørgen Kjærnes, managing partner in Cubera. “We run a highly specialized business based on our broad and long private equity experience. This has resulted in attractive returns to our investors, and at the same time providing a more efficient investment cycle than traditional private equity investments”.

Cubera VI is so far the largest Cubera fund and first close was primarily directed towards Norwegian investors. The next step is to approach the rest of the Nordic investor base. “We are very pleased with a first close of Cubera VI only three months after the fund was launched”, says Till Gutzen, partner in Cubera. “We have a strong pipeline of investment opportunities and experience that both the number and quality of opportunities have increased over the last years. We look forward to investing Cubera VI”.
