PRESS INVITATION: The leading trade show for polymer production, materials and industrial design in the Nordic region

On 13-14 April, the trade show Plastteknik Nordic 2016 will be arranged at MalmöMässan. The organisers from Easyfairs Scandinavia want the show to be a natural platform for collaborative meetings for the plastics industry.

Media are welcome to the show. Press passes can be sent in advance on request or collected at the entrance to the show. The Project Manager will be on location for short interviews.

A selection of highlights at the show:

- More than 140 exhibitors showing everything within construction, material, design, production and equipment

- New this year: Material Innovation Plaza where exhibitors show alternative materials for product development and production

- New this year: Recruitment Plaza with the aim of spurring competence supply in the plastics industry. Actors at the plaza: the Swedish Association of Graduate Engineers, Polymercentrum and Technogarden Engineering Resources

- 3D half day (seminars) in partnership with SVEAT (SVEnsk Additiv Tillverkning), 13 April

- Nominations for the Plastics Industry Awards will be made on the show floor on 13 April

- Panel debate ‘How will tomorrow’s competence in the plastics industry be secured?’ Panellists: Anders Sjögren, CEO, Polymer Centrum; Greta Hjortzberg, Head of Competence Supply, IKEM; Leif Nilsson, Chairman, SPIF; Margareta Landh, Investigator in the Director-General’s Staff, Swedish National Agency for Higher Vocational Education. Moderator: Anders Ekdahl, CEO, SINF

- More than 30 free seminars including:

- Norwegian-born Maria Strømme, Professor of Nanotechnology and Vice Chair of the Royal Swedish Academy of Engineering Sciences, will talk about how nanotechnology is providing materials that are driving the next technological revolution.

-Anders Bell, Senior Director Interior Engineering, Volvo Car Corporation, will talk about Premium Automotive Interiors – and our complex relationship to plastics

-Marcus von Euler-Rudbäck, Design Director/Co-Founder of Zound Industries, will talk about ‘From fashion electronics to high-tech rock ‘n’ roll – Scandinavian industrial design of world class’.

-Thomas Drustrup, CEO of The Danish Plastics Federation, Plastindustrien, will talk about ‘The Danish plastics industry in 2016: Challenges and opportunities’.
