2012 is here to stay, at least for a while. Time moves quickly and at Encubator we do our best to stay at least one step ahead. Uncertain winds of change are blowing around the world but our mission as a venture creation incubator remains the same - new year, new ventures!

Like most of our business colleagues, we at Encubator manage to keep ourselves busy. The innovation projects initiated in 2011 are now accelerating and at the same time we are intensifying our search for business ideas of the next encubation round.

So, what could you expect from Encubator in 2012? Simply business as usual. Don't hesitate to contact us if you're long on good ideas but are short on resources. Ideas should be realised.

MINESTO
Minesto has shown strong growth with almost 20 new employees in 2011. This was partly made possible through a major financial support from the Swedish Energy Agency. They were also rewarded the Rushlight Marine and Hydro Energy Award. Read more about Minesto.

SIMPLEXIA
Simplexia who develops a vaccine against genital herpes recently received 1,2 MSEK from Torsten Söderbergs Foundation. They have also received seed financing from Novo Seeds and Vinnova. The vaccine has shown promising results in animal studies. Read more about Simplexia.

OXEON
Henrik Blycker and Andreas Martsman from Oxeon were awarded ”Best male rising star” and ”Best international growth”, two prizes awarded by SEB in Ernst & Young´s contest – Entrepreneur of the year. Read more about Oxeon.

INSPLORION
Insplorion who develops instruments for research departments in the area of nanotechnology and general surface science won the Swedish Cleantech Business Award as best presenting company. Read more about Insplorion.

Encubator is Chalmers' venture creation incubator realising ideas together with Chalmers School of Entrepreneurship. We have many years experience in working with ideas from industrial actors, scientists as well as private inventors. Each year, over 100 innovative ideas are screened and those with the highest potential, quality and value to society will be accepted to our Encubation model and run as innovation project in our incubator.
