The pictures that changed Stockholm!

Never before has Stockholm been illuminated with such wild attitude! Here are the latest pictures from this weekend when the French street video artist Julien Nonnon projected his images on Stockholm landmark buildings with the exhibition SAFARI URBAIN STHLM.

People living in and visiting Stockholm this last weekend could during a few hours see classic landmarks – including the city hall and the Ericsson Globe (the largest spheric building on the planet), and other buildings in a completely new light as a number of gigantic figures showed up on the walls.

”These amazing pictures highlight litterally the illuminating power of creativity and its ability not just to expand the experience of a city, but to take the idea and notion of the cityscape to a whole new level”, says Anette Mattsson, CEO Filmregion Stockholm-Mälardalen, which hosted the exhibition through its project Smart Creative City.

”This is also an initiative that invites everyone living or visiting Stockholm to take a walk and get revitalized by this bright vivid light in the dark November night, and to feel that they, despite the cold season, are in a city full of creative energy and warmth. We make Stockholm more fun!”, continues Anette Mattsson, CEO Filmregion Stockholm-Mälardalen.

The exhibition is carried out in collaboration with Panasonic, Fasadprojektion and Locamundo.

Smart Kreativ Stad (Smart Creative City) is a project focusing on moving image, digital media, innovation and urban development in Stockholm 2015-2020. Managed by Filmregion Stockholm-Mälardalen in collaboration with members and partners in a wide range of sectors and industries, the project is co-funded by the EU Regional Development Fund.
