Friday and Saturday in Stockholm: Gigantic wildlife illuminates the urban jungle

On Friday and Saturday, the French multi-artist Julien Nonnon will transform the Swedish capital with his bright exhibition SAFARI URBAIN STHLM.

A series of portraits of animals, casually dressed in elegant fashion, projected on facades and buildings. Stockholm's residents, tourists and the world will see classic and modern landmarks and hidden places of the capital in a whole new light.

His work revolves mainly on the interaction of his creations with architecture and urban features that surround it. His luminous artwork exposes the matter, irregularities, reliefs, and enhances all these imperfections, thus revealing the beauty of real life. The city then becomes his field of expression, a place full of possibilities and exceptional encounters.

The exhibition Urban Safari has previously been shown in Paris and Orlando, and now it's finally Stockholm turn.

"I am very much looking forward to this exhibition in Stockholm. It is the first time ever with Safari Urbain in Scandinavia. I have prepared a few new images specifically for the Swedish capital, and I think it will be amazing!" Says the artist Julien Nonnon.

During Friday and Saturday SAFARI URBAIN STHLM will move through the city. Follow the entire exhibition on site or on social media via #safariurbainsthlm. The projections are set to sound by Andil Dahl. A mobile live session will move adjacent to the places where the works are exhibited.

“It is great that we can make this possible in Stockholm. I am very much looking forward to it. Artwork like this can make us see and experience our city, buildings and locations from a whole new perspective. The cultural climate in Stockholm has previously not been particularly tolerant to street art, but good things are now happening in many innovative ways, which this initiative illuminates,” says Roger Mogert, Vice Mayor of City Planning and Culture, and Chairman Filmregion Stockholm-Mälardalen.
