Wheelchair innovator follows up successful crowdfunding loan with equity campaign on FundedByMe

After being the first-ever successfully closed crowdfunding loan campaign on FundedByMe in September 2015, AddMovement, the wheelchair innovators who produced AddSeat, is back with an equity campaign. The campaign, currently at 42% of its €160,000 goal, offers crowdfunding investors the opportunity to invest in an innovative company that quadrupled its sales in the past financial year and has distributors in Sweden, Denmark, Norway, Germany, Greece and the USA.

In 2015, €105,000 was raised as a crowd lending campaign on FundedByMe - the largest and most successful on this platform yet, closing three weeks early. The money raised in this equity crowdfunding round will be used to add more AddSeat dealers in each of the existing markets and add new countries, while creating an officially medical-classed product that will make life for people with mobility issues easier and more convenient.

“After the success of our Loan Crowdfunding campaign it was an easy decision to return to FundedByMe,” says Marit Sundin, founder of AddMovement. “The timing is also impeccable as AddSeat will be on the global stage at the upcoming Paralympicsin Rio, where Canadian Paralympic Swimmer, Tammy Cunnington, will be using it to move around the Paralympic village and to and from competitive events.”
