“Amazon for bargain products” Fyndiq reaches break-even, over 200 000 products sold in December

With €14M in turnover for 2013, Fyndiq has emerged from being an overstock liquidation channel for merchants to one of the fastest growing marketplaces in Europe, all in their hunt to become “Amazon for bargain products”.

Fyndiq, The Bargain Super Store marketplace that is connecting bargain hunters with over 100 000 products from merchants, had an annual growth of 121% and reached break-even in 2013. In december alone, over 200 000 products was sold via the marketplace.

- “We continue to see incredible momentum for our marketplace, growing from €1M in sales for 2011 to over €14M in 2013. There has never been a bigger interest for bargain products online than now”, said CEO & Co-founder Dinesh Nayar.

Fyndiq added more than 500 new merchants in 2013 that together are selling more than 118 000 products via the marketplace, up from 62 000 in 2012. Merchants use Fyndiq as a sales channel to sell slowly moving products or products that needs to increase in sales in an accessible way.
