Fyndiq launching IQ, a research facility for ambitious students

The online marketplace Fyndiq known as ”The Bargain Super Store” is launching IQ, a research facility for ambitious students. The research lab will be a hot tube for prototyping, researching and data mining.

Stockholm are one of the global hot spots for tech startups. To make sure this will be the case also in the future, Fyndiq are now launching the research facility IQ for ambitious students. The company will select the most brilliant master thesis students to IQ, giving access to Fyndiq’s data and business insights to let them experiment and invent the next generation marketplace.

- "When I studied engineering at KTH Royal Institute of Technology very few people wanted to work at startups, most ended up working for big consultancy companies or at industrial technology companies like Ericsson, SAAB, Scania or Volvo. With Fyndiq IQ we want to change that, making students want to work for startups as their top choice”, said Micael Widell, CTO & Co-founder.

Current master thesis topics include inventing a smarter engine and methodology for product search, dynamic A/B-test based product pricing algorithms, and inventing better product sorting algorithms for Fyndiq's category pages.
