The ice hockey pro Carl “Calle” Ridderwall is investing a part of his salary into the promising new Swedish startup company Global Talent. It is presently possible to invest and gain shares of GT through an emission by the crowd equity platform company FundedByMe. The interest so far has surpassed all expectations. After two weeks GT has already received far more requests than any other startups that are included on the pre-round list on FundedByMe. Due to the fact that more and more well known athletes are joining GT, the company has managed to achieve a high level of awareness in Sweden and abroad. GT has already been compared to success stories, such as Skype and Spotify.

The professional ice hockey player Calle Ridderwall is one of many well-known athletes that have shortly joined the family of GT. Calle Ridderwall is 24 years old and has scored more points than any other player in the German hockey league DHL during the 2012/2013 season. Furthermore, he contributed greatly on “tre kroner” team during his premiere match with the Swedish ice hockey team and even managed to score a goal for the team. Before he started to focus on his ice hockey career he studied finance at the University of Notre Dame, USA. In the coming season Calle will play in the Russian hockey league KHL.

“I am really excited with the chance to be involved with the future development of GT and I am totally convinced that Global Talent will be the next big thing. There are some really good role models for companies from Sweden, such as Spotify and Skype. I really believe that Global Talent has a similar chance to achieve an international breakthrough as these companies and in this way provide for and support talents and athletes worldwide, so that they can reach their individual goals and dreams. I therefore believe that the time and money that I invest into GT is a valuable investment for my future life. As a professional athlete you have plenty of spare time between training and the matches and instead of squandering that time with a playstation, I now have the possibility to utilize my spare time with something more meaningful which also will stimulate me on an intellectual level.” Calle says.

“I hereby officially want to welcome Calle to the GT family. Calle has very serious intentions and plans with GT and his international network will be a very valuable asset to the company. He will particularly play an important role when it comes to establishing potential investors and international business partners in the USA, Russia and Czech Republic. I also want to clarify that Calles duties at GT will not conflict with his hockey career. Calle will solely focus on his duties and contribute to GT during his spare time.” Magnus Wallin (founder of GT) says.

The well-known former ice hockey coach and television host Niklas Wikegård is another sport profile that is engaged and involved in GT.

“The team behind GT has been on a remarkable journey. The business model and the service platform has been planned in detail over the last four years and they have particularly invested a considerable amount of resources into research and analysis with proof of concept for all target groups.  It is also remarkable that the team behind GT has managed to bring the tennis legend Vijay Amritraj on board who will facilitate GT´s entry into the Indian market.” says Nicklas Wikegård

Vijay is a member of the board of GT and will play a key role when GT launches their product on the market. In the first stage of the emission, GT already managed to collect the sufficient amount of capital and contacts necessary to be successful when establishing the first office abroad in Bangalore. Bangalore is considered the silicon valley of India. Here and with the help of Vijay, GT will develop the first “Starsparring” applications in conjunction with various cricket and tennis stars. Vijay has over the years assisted companies such as ABC, ESPN, Sony Entertainment, and Turner Broadcasting in successfully establishing their business in India. This invaluable experience will be essential for GT when the company enters the Indian market.

"Global Talent makes total sense and will definitely do very well. I will initially help Global Talent with financing and launch in India, as well as the development of Starsparring apps with Indian tennis and cricket stars.", says Vijay.

The Starsparring application for the Chinese market on the other hand will solely be developed for table tennis. FundedByMe and Global Talent share the same values.
Like FundedByMe, Global Talent believes that all people should have the same access to information and contacts.

FundedByMe believes in particular that this should be the case for investors and business innovators, while Global Talent emphasizes that this should be the scenario for all athletes and other target groups that are included within the ecosystem.

“When reading this you probably understand that we have already established contacts with athletes all over the world; athletes who could close this emission with a single one week salary. But as mentioned earlier, our philosophy is to offer all people the same possibilities and chances regardless of their network. Therefore, we would like to present this great opportunity to you and hope that you will join us in our exciting journey. Lets do this together!.” says Magnus Wallin (founder of GT)

Global Talent is revolutionizing the ecosystem of the sports world, by bundling all parts of the ecosystem online through a super platform with information, contacts and career possibilities for all sportsmen of all sports. Global Talent brings all sportsmen one step closer to their dreams regardless of their country or background.
