Gothenburg stem cell researcher awarded grant from Hjärnfonden (Swedish Brain Foundation)

Hjärnfonden collects donations and supports research about the whole brain and nervous system. Charlotta Lindwall, at the University of Gothenburg, receives SEK 280,000 for her research into stem cells.

Iris Öhrn works for attracting foreign Life Science investments in Western Sweden

Recently employed as Investment Manager for Life Science at Business Region Göteborg, Iris Öhrn works for making the Göteborg region and specifically our Life Science resources and competences better known abroad. "I will work for making our Life Science Industry clearer on the investors´ map," explains Iris Öhrn.

Researchers in Göteborg receive MSEK 13.7 from the Swedish Heart-Lung Foundation

15 researchers in Göteborg receive MSEK 13.7 from the Swedish Heart-Lung Foundation to develop methods to treat people suffering from heart, lung or vascular diseases. One of them is Anna-Carin Olin, Senior Lecturer at Sahlgrenska University Hospital. Anna-Carin Olin also recieved verification grant in 2010 from GöteborgBIOin collaboration with Sahlgrenska Science Park.
