Press release -

GWS and ERV sign a new agreement and extend the cooperation

Global Warning System (GWS) and ERV signed an initial agreement in spring 2015 and this cooperation will now be extended in a new agreement. ERV will move to GWS’ new SDK (Software Development Kit) offer.

GWS provides a personal travel security service, Safeture, that provides critical and relevant information about disasters and other threats a traveler may encounter. ERV is one of the largest specialized companies in Europe for personal and business travel insurance. Since the initial agreement was signed in 2015, ERV offered its customers the GWS service as a part of its travel insurance offer. The SDK is a collection of software tools and components that enable software developers to integrate GWS functionality. The solution means that ERV now can develop their mobile solutions without using GWS’ development resources, and still use the GWS service and content within their own app. The agreement extends the cooperation period and increases the total guaranteed minimum revenue from ERV with approximately 15% over the total cooperation period. With the new agreement, that replaces the previous agreement, the exclusivity is removed for both parties.

Andreas Rodman, CEO at GWS, comments:

“I see at least two very positive aspects of this agreement. Firstly, we very much appreciate being able to grow long-term relationships with our customers. With the extension of our agreement, we can continue to build our common business and serve ERV’s customers even better. Secondly, it is extremely encouraging that the SDK solution, that we started developing in 2016 has been chosen by one of our larger customers, it proves that we have found a good market fit.”
